Liz Hurley Bedazzles Us All
Elizabeth Jane Hurley (born 10 June 1965) is an English model and actress best known for a sequence of high-profile films during the 1990s and recent television roles. Elizabeth is a global celebrity due to her relationships, and for literally decades has been a staple in the British tabloids.
Let's be blunt: not only is Liz Hurley one of the most naturally beautiful women in the world, she has aged extremely gracefully. I know, it's taboo to discuss such things, but let's do it anyway.

Hurley remains model-fit in her 50s, a fact she gladly proves with bikini photos at every opportunity, and the visual proof is there: she remains blindingly attractive. Liz Hurley's features undeniably have changed over time to give her a different appearance. However, while a different appearance than 30 years ago when she burst to prominence, she remains a top beauty and cover girl.

Aside from all of her other achievements, Liz Hurley has achieved enduring fame as a television actress who has been a fixture of British screens for a full thirty years. If you were watching television in television, you would have seen Liz Hurley, and if you time-travelled to 2017, you would see her as well - and she hasn't changed all that much in the interim.
Rather than focus on the present, let's instead look at the origins of Liz Hurley's fame.
Born in Basingstoke, Hampshire, England, Liz is the younger daughter of Angela Mary (née Titt) and Roy Leonard Hurley.
An aspiring actress, Hurley had small roles in little-known films such as "Aria" in 1987. She also made an impact in "Passenger 57" (1992). Motion pictures were not Liz Hurley's path to fame and fortune, however.
In 1988, Liz made her television debut with a small part in detective series "Inspector Morse." It turned out to be the right medium for her. Liz then nabbed a recurring role as Penny on "Gems," followed by the title character on mini-series "Christabel."
A string of appearances in various television projects followed which cemented her fame in England. However, she was not much of a celebrity internationally.
Liz Hurley finally burst to international prominence with the part of Vanessa Kensington in "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery" (1997) and its follow-up, "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me" (1999).

Her role as The Devil in "Bedazzled" in 2000 cemented her global fame.
Liz entered modelling incredibly late for a top fashion model, beginning her career in 1995 at age 29, but was a success from the start. She became the face of Estée Lauder for several years, and has continued modelling for them. She continues to get covers and plum assignments that normally would go to much younger girls.
Liz also has modelled for other top names such as Jordache and Shiatzy Chen, and has been on the cover of British Vogue three times. Her line of beachwear appears in top outlets such as Harrods and Saks Fifth Avenue.

Since her modelling career exploded, Liz has appeared in lead roles in many high-profile film and television projects. Aside from the Austin Powers films and "Bedazzled," she is known for appearance on television shows such as "Gossip Girl" and "Project Catwalk."
More recently, Liz has played Queen Helena in "The Royals," a British television series. Hurley is not just along for the ride - she is top-billed and dominates the series.
"The Royals" has featured appearances by some of the grand dames of British pop culture, including Joan Collins (five episodes), as well as members of the younger glamour set such as Keeley Hazell (six episodes).
Now, let's circle around back to Hurley's beginnings to examine her relationships - because there is a continuum to Liz Hurley's life that constantly requires these digressions.

Anybody wondering how Liz Hurley suddenly burst to prominence need know only two words: Hugh Grant. Liz was an unknown actress when she met Grant in 1987. They were both fairly unknown at the time, but not for long. As Grant's career skyrocketed, hers followed at a somewhat slower pace - but was just gathering steam.
Liz to some extent is still known to this day as "Hugh Grant's former girlfriend." That is unfair, but that is how the media works. The both remain international superstars. Many think they would make a nice couple today, but Liz herself has said:
Yeah, no, I don't think that's gonna happen, but he is the best friend a woman could have.People sometimes forget that Hurley once said that Grant resembled an ape or monkey.
Grant and Hurley still live next door to each other (Grant already owns four houses on the street and is looking to add more), and they are godparents to each other's children. Hurley, by the way, also is godmother to two of David and Victoria Beckham's sons (Brooklyn and Romeo).
Since her breakup with Grant in 2000, Hurley has gone on to many other relationships, including fathering a child, son Damian Charles Hurley, in 2002 with wealthy businessman Steve Bing.

More recently, Hurley has been linked with Australian cricket player Shane Warne, which may have had something to do with her divorce from Indian textile heir Arun Nayar.
Hurley and Nayar got married on 2 March 2007 at Sudeley Castle, but they were divorced in 2011. However, while Warne and Hurley soon got engaged, they broke up in 2013.

Liz made a rare and somewhat unexpected foray into politics in June 2016, when she expressed support for Brexit, the departure of Great Britain from the European Union. Brexit, of course, eventually passed against many expectations, showing that Liz has a canny understanding of public sentiment.
Liz Hurley can still make the tabloids virtually at will. For instance, in July 2017, she regaled the Daily Mail with a story about how she once killed a snake that was menacing her son. Of course, this was a nice hook upon which to hang some scantily clad pictures of the quite trim Liz.
Liz caused some controversy in 2000 when she crossed a Screen Actors Guild picket line to film a television commercial. She later claimed ignorance of the strike.
Liz is a devotee of yoga and loves to demonstrate her poses to the cameras.

Elizabeth's diet tips:
I think that's one of the best diet tips you can have to eat your food earlier on in the day, so you've got more time to digest it and your body can rest in the sleep period. I think that's quite important. I always used to snack late at night because I was a little bit hungry before I went to bed. I stopped doing that now. But I think whole grains and vegetables and fish and small bits of lean meat is really the way I tend to go.
I've always wanted to be a spy, and frankly I'm a little surprised that British intelligence has never approached me.Well, you know, I'm sure some of the spies could be induced to approach you....
I'm not going to launch a bikini business and then give up bikinis, am I?
Getting as much sleep as possible and following a healthy diet will stop you from feeling run-down if, like me, you're super-stressed.
Like other top stars, Liz Hurley works with many charities. Among these are the Estée Lauder's Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, which is in memory of her grandmother who perished from the disease. Liz also has supported The Prince's Trust and Elton John AIDS Foundation, among several other worthy causes.
I'd kill myself if I was as fat as Marilyn Monroe.
I love to see other women in pink. It's good for every shade of skin and hair.
I think, if you were being cruel to animals, then the thought of eating them would be horrific.
I like to eat delicious food and laugh a lot. I can put up with most things in life, as long a someone is making me laugh.
I would seriously question whether anybody is really foolish enough to really say what they mean. Sometimes I think that civilization as we know it would kind of break down if we all were completely honest.
I always found when I was reading an interview with an actor that I wasn't interested in their political opinions - I just wanted to know what they'd had for breakfast.
I keep getting these extraordinary letters, really weird ones from American sports stars - I've always thought you were one pretty lady and now that you're single I want to meet you for a drink.
I love Pilates and yoga but don't do them regularly.
The only meal I have is dinner.
I don't know much about only children. I was the middle one of three, and if ever I was alone with mum and dad, it was a rare moment.
Being English, I always laugh at anything to do with the lavatory or bottoms.
Nothing irritates me more than chronic laziness in others. Mind you, it's only mental sloth I object to. Physical sloth can be heavenly.
