Heather Joan Graham (born January 29, 1970) is an American actress famous for starring in some of the most popular films of the 1990s and 2000s.
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Heather Graham and her family moved to California when she was nine. She is "three-quarters Irish."
While she acted in a school play or two, Heather did not become serious about acting until midway through college at UCLA, when she suddenly dropped out to go on auditions.
Heather Graham's first breakthrough was a bit part in the prison romance "Mrs. Soffel" (1984). Minor appearances on the big screen and small followed for several years, until she got her first big break in the film "License to Drive" (1988).
That first film opened the door for Heather to be cast the following year in Gus Van Sant's "Drugstore Cowboy" as Nadine. This really got Heather noticed, though not by the public at large. She began getting better parts, however.
Working steadily but with little recognition, Heather created the iconic character of the rollerskating Brandi in Paul Thomas Anderson's critically acclaimed, award-winning "Boogie Nights" (1997).
The "Boogie Nights" success led to Heather's first starring role as Felicity Shagwell in the 1999 sequel "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me." That film cemented Heather's status as a Hollywood leading lady, and she has been a force in Hollywood since.

Later, Heather Graham made another big splash when she starred in "The Hangover" (2009) and its sequel "The Hangover Part III (2013).
Heather occasionally has taken television series. She had the recurring role of Annie Blackburn in the original "Twin Peaks" (1991), but waited over a decade to return to episodic television in "Scrubs" as Dr. Molly Clock.
Heather also had the recurring role of Emily Sanders on "Emily's Reasons Why Not" from 2006-2008, but once again she waited the better part of a decade before returning to television.
In 2014, Heather appeared on "Californication" as Julia for nine episodes, then joined "Angie Tribeca" for four seasons as Diane Duran and "Flaked" as Tilly. More recently, she filmed six episodes as Kim on "Bliss."

She gets good parts and plays them well, and no doubt will be doing so for many years to come.
In addition to her Irish heritage, Heather is has some Scottish, Welsh, German and English ancestry.
Heather reportedly is on the outs with her parents, who disapproved of her role in "Boogie Nights."
Stuff magazine was ranked at No. 4 on its 2002 "102 Sexiest Women in the World" listing.
Heather also made FHM magazine's 2005 listing of the "100 Sexiest Women in the World."
In 2006, Heather was named to Femme Fatale magazine on its listing of "50 sexiest women on the planet."
I'm not the kind of person who needs to be a mother no matter what. Life brings you people. Maybe I'll nurture someone who's not my child, like a friend, or an actor I'm working with who needs some love.
I always wanted to be the pretty girl, but I thought I wasn't. When I started acting and getting pretty girl roles, I felt like I was just pretending, and nobody saw I was just this big nerd.
I sleep as much as I want. I'll sleep like 11 hours, unless I'm working. Sometimes I do feel like - this is weird, I should just get up so I can fit into the world. Then I'm like - why? I don't have a nine-to-five job.
I love telling dirty jokes. Sex is funny.
Sex is a part of who I am and it took me a long time to feel good about it. I wasn't sure if it was good or bad to be a person who really enjoys sex.
There is another Heather Graham who is a New York Times bestselling author with more than a hundred novels. That is another Heather Graham.
I think New York is so interesting, you can really reinvent yourself. There’s so many different types of people that you could probably get into any subculture you wanted.
I remember the first time I ever came to New York I was 18 and I was going to stay with these friends in an apartment and one of the friends had been mugged.
