Jane Remains Fonda Leather to this Day
Jane Fonda (born Lady Jayne Seymour Fonda; December 21, 1937) is the well-known daughter of screen legend Henry Fonda. Following in his giant footsteps, Jane became a top American actress, writer, political activist, fashion model, and fitness guru. She remains active and popular to this day, starring in the recent hit film "The Butler" and always with another project in the works.
Jane starred in a series of pedestrian films before her big breakthrough in "Cat Ballou." While Lee Marvin won an Oscar for that film and Jane didn't, the film and the sexy promo shots she took propelled Jane to the forefront of Hollywood. After starring for her husband, director Roger Vadim, in the comic book adaptation (the very first one of feature film length) "Barbarella," Jane turned to more serious roles. She eventually won two Academy Awards, an Emmy Award, and three Golden Globes. If she hadn't "retired" several times, she probably would have won much more.
While Jane is a well-known liberal political activist, which has caused her to earn many bitter and entrenched enemies, she has no trouble wearing leather. In fact, she seems to prefer the look of leather, both in her film roles and in her private life. She does wear it in a very fashionable, soft way, not usually favoring the harsh motorcycle jackets that always have been popular.
That Jane wears leather is a blessing, because Jane Fonda always has been - and remains - one of the most stunning women ever to come out of Hollywood. And nobody, PETA or anyone else, is going to tell Jane Fonda what to wear - or not wear.
Below are pictures of Jane wearing leather, including some from her promotional activities in 2013 for the film "The Butler." Make no mistake, she obviously is getting on in years, but she always was and remains a very beautiful woman.
